Text Shadow Generator 🔤
Build CSS text-shadows visually with multiple layers. Live preview with copy-ready CSS.
About the Text Shadow Generator
The Text Shadow Generator runs entirely in your browser. Add multiple text-shadow layers, each with its own X/Y offsets, blur radius, and color — the preview updates in real time and the generated CSS is ready to copy. Layers render top-to-bottom, so the topmost layer in the list is drawn first (and ends up behind the others). Nothing is uploaded — everything happens locally.
Text-shadow properties
- X offset — Horizontal offset in pixels. Positive moves the shadow right, negative left.
- Y offset — Vertical offset in pixels. Positive moves the shadow down, negative up.
- Blur — Blur radius in pixels. 0 is sharp; larger values are softer.
- Color — The shadow color, in HEX or any CSS color format.
How to use the generator

text-shadowdeclaration.
Frequently asked questions
How are multiple shadows combined? CSS supports comma-separated text-shadow values. The first listed shadow renders on top, so reordering layers in the list changes which one appears in front.
Can I create neon or glow effects? Yes. Use several layers with low blur and bright colors at the same offset to build a glow effect.
What's the difference between text-shadow and box-shadow? text-shadow applies only to the glyph shapes of text; box-shadow applies to the entire element box. They share similar syntax.
Does this tool upload my settings? No. Everything runs locally in your browser.
